03 · Method
The steps, in the words RWB uses on its own jobs.

Step 01
Wallpaper off. Damaged plasterboard removed and replaced with new, with noggins in for stability.

Step 02
Scrim tape across every board joint and crack. PVA over the original walls and ceilings.

Step 03
Chases bonded in. Mesh over the deeper holes. Artex scraped back and primed.

Step 04
Two coats of Multifinish for a smooth finish, ready to paint.

Step 05
Walls straightened where worktops are going. Beads on the edges so they stay sharp.

All the way through
The tidy part is in the photos too. North Moreton, April.

04 · Render
In Abingdon the previous monocouche had failed through water damage. A new system went on, then the job was made watertight by the builders.
